Bengali Cultural Non-Profits:
the bridge between Bangladesh and the USA

This self project aims to bring awareness about the importance of cultural Bengali non-profits organization and how they serve as a bridge connecting the Bangladesh culture into the melting pot of New York City.               

 

People who are immigrants, or may be connected with immigrants relative often feel the inner conflict of following their culture or become more Americanized. In the perfect world, pursuing both realms of identity completely may be possible. Unfortunately, some parts of what makes a culture culture overlaps and come into conflict with other.

 

This model is just one example of how this dilemma functions.  It will be explored in Bengali Performing Arts Group and how they work to make Bengali art more comprehensible to non-Bengali audience while staying true to their purpose.
